A Conscious Learning Community for Children & Parents

P

PHYSICAL

Members of the community will learn how to strengthen their bodies through MIM Music Inspired Movement, Yoga, Functional Training, and QiGong. We will have interesting discussions on biology, physiology, and anatomy to show members why it’s important to have a basic understanding of how to make good choices for themselves regarding food, sleep and movement.

E

EMOTIONAL

Members will practice listening and expressing themselves through conversation, learn how to let emotions such as anger or frustration move through them, how to work with and within an anxious mind, and grasp an understanding of the downside to judgment. We will also focus on building social skills with other children and adults as they co-create and participate in ThePEMS community.

M

MIND

Members will learn to focus on the different aspects of their mind, and how to quiet a busy mind. At this time they will start to develop a sense of personal identity separate
from their family unit and learn the importance of respecting other perspectives. During adolescence 12-14 yrs children need their parents more than ever. ThePEMS supports
these developments through parent workshops and classes.

SPIRITUAL

ThePEMS believes in conscious learning in all aspects of what we do and what we offer. We will deepen the discussions with big questions such as ‘who are you’, ‘what does ‘purpose’ mean in this life experience’, along with discussions on quantum physics and sacred geometry in nature and in us. The conversation will have a starting question that is asked within the group followed by a discussion and sharing of opinion and perspectives; they will share how they see the world, allowing them to hear how others do the same. We believe that each person’s perspective makes up the whole.
